After 24 years in this industry, it’s been excruciating to watch so many would-be amazing distributors let their belief system kill their chances of success.
But here’s the thing. You can think of limiting beliefs like hurdles on a race track. They’re there, and if you decide that you’re going to let them get in your way and stop you from reaching the finish line then that’s exactly what’s going to happen. But you can also choose to jump right over those network marketing limiting beliefs and come out on top as a winner.
Your belief system is one of the most vital things that you must take the time to strengthen if you hope to succeed. Working on amping up your belief system, almost to a point of arrogance in yourself is what will separate you from the crowd.
Most people are limited in their belief in themselves, and rarely do anything about changing that.
Very few will ever desire to change, and yet fewer will do actually do anything about that and actually take action to change them. Most are simply so limited in their beliefs that they don’t even realize that they have a problem that’s holding them back from success.
Where Our Network Marketing Belief System Stems from in the First Place…
The sad fact is that we’re not born with our belief system as anything but a straight road of green lights. Just think of a toddler. A toddler will almost always start off right away jumping in with both feet, thinking that they can accomplish anything. You see them climb their way to things that are way out of their reach.
You see them trying to step off of things that are way beyond the safety threshold. Basically you see them doing what as an adult would be considered a lot of dumb stuff. But is it really dumb or is it just a byproduct of our limiting beliefs that makes it seem dumb to us?
Well it’s a little bit of both. As adults we have fears and limits on things for a very good reason… at times. That good reason is that we’re going to get hurt if we do certain things…or worse yet killed. But it’s when these limiting beliefs take over from things that are very possible, and stop us from doing those things that we get into trouble.
Unfortunately your parents and other grown-ups around you as a child…that actually had nothing but loving intentions…are the reason for a lot of our limits that we place on ourselves. Much of that comes from their own insecurities, doubts in themselves, or fears that they’ve inadvertently placed on you. So basically belief systems are hereditary.
The great part is that we can change them, and we can greatly expand our belief to break through the barriers that keep us from living the life that we deserve and thriving in Network Marketing. The catch 22 is that to succeed we need to take chances…but if our belief system is so constricted that we won’t stick our necks out a little…then we’ll never have the opportunities that result in overall success.
Do It Anyways…
One of the fastest and easiest ways to
hurdle over a Network Marketing limiting belief
is to do something that we fear or doubt that we can do anyways, and go ahead and fall flat on our face…just to see that it really isn’t as dangerous as we thought.
If you’ve got a network marketing prospect to call, but you’re scared to dial those numbers because you’re afraid they may not want your opportunity or your products, then the best thing that you should do is call anyways. Call, get rejected, and then just notice how everything is still just fine and dandy when it’s all over. You’re not dead. You’re not even hurt. You’re fine.
And of course every time you do it from then on out will be easier and easier…but eventually you won’t get rejected, and that’s when the snowball begins and eventually turns into an avalanche of new people in your downline.
If He Can Do It – Well Then So Can I…Network Marketing Theory!
Seeing others achieve something that you want to achieve is the quickest way to assure yourself that it is possible. If I can do it, you can do it! If some of the people in my downline, and/or upline can do it, you can do it! I’ve seen people become extremely wealthy and affluent, and they came from backgrounds that you would never imagine that they would come from.
Dishwashers, mechanics, car salesman, struggling musicians, secretaries, receptionists, unemployed and down and out…it doesn’t matter if you have the desire and drive to succeed in network marketing then you can do it just like tons and tons of others have.
You just have to believe that you can do it. You have to be completely positive that you’re going to succeed in this network marketing industry no matter what, and then find the people, the methods, and the systems to get you there.
Network marketing isn’t brain surgery. It can and will take some stepping out of comfort zones, and facing some very normal…but non life-threatening fears. But if you’re not willing to do that, then you’ve really given up on achieving anything great in life, whether inside or outside of network marketing.
But your overall belief system is where it’s got to start. So start jumping those hurdles starting today and you’re nearly guaranteed success in this amazingly wild and fantastic lifestyle called Network Marketing!
