Myth #1: You Won’t Have to Talk to People… Hmmm, so I guess the people who believe this have never heard the other name of multi level marketing…ummm… “network marketing”.
That’s right…that network part is in there for a good reason.
Here’s the thing…you actually DON’T HAVE TO talk to anyone… however if you don’t… you’re not going to be successful, and you’re not going to make any money.
Let’s get real here. Multi-level marketing is a business that works on the concept of a TEAM mentality, a mentoring mentality, a self-development mentality, and through leadership. No matter what anyone tells you, you can’t truly become successful in this industry without actually talking to people.
Yes you CAN create your business so that by the time that you do talk with prospects, they’re already slightly pre-sold on YOU, and your business opportunity. But there’s going to be contact when you close them, and there MUST be contact when you train them for sure, if there’s any hope of succeeding.
So just get it set solid in your mind right now that in multi level marketing, you WILL have to talk to people. You will have to talk face to face with some, and on the phone with others. It’s just part of the business.
It’s like saying you can become a carpenter without using a hammer. Can’t and won’t happen.

The fact is that you WILL have to sell.

There are transactions taking place. People are buying into a business opportunity, as well as buying products. Money is being exchanged, and whenever money has to be exchanged in order for you to earn money, then there MUST be selling involved.
Now luckily with the internet and other tools of the trade…much of this selling can take place through other means than face to face. Selling through your web content, articles, videos, and even emails can be part of your arsenal…but in fact this is selling.
And when it comes to closing the sell, you’re going to want to learn how to do this both face to face and over the phone. It’s not only necessary, but the difference in the size and dynamic of your business is profound. It’s the difference between multi level marketing becoming a small income supplemental business, or a huge global business that replaces your income and then some.
Myth #3 It’s the Easiest Money You’ve Ever Made… I will concede to part of this. Multi level marketing is the easiest money that you’ve ever made when once you start earning a serious passive residual income. But getting there won’t be easy.
You will be tested mentally over and over again. You will have to step out of comfort zones, and you will have to put in the time. But the prize at the end of the journey is well worth the effort.
It’s important that you work at your business (especially in the beginning) consistently and wisely using systems, and the experience of your multi level marketing mentors…so that you can get to the point of the money coming in “easier” ASAP.
But it is truly a myth that it will be easy money in the beginning.
