MLM Marketing to Baby BoomersWhen it comes to your MLM marketing, you’re always (or should be) looking for that perfect target market to advertise your business opportunity to right?

Different MLM marketers focus on different markets across the board.

Some target people looking for a job; some target those looking for a new job; some focus on those looking to start a business online; some target sales professionals; others will target Corporate executives; and others will even go after other MLM professionals.

All of those are fine and dandy, and if you’ve got a target market at all, then you’re doing better than most.

Why You Should Be Targeting Baby Boomers with Your MLM Marketing NOW More Than Ever…

But one demographic that you may not be targeting and may actually be overlooking with your MLM marketing simply because you think they’re out of the game altogether is the Baby Boomers. But overlook them at your own peril because it turns out that of all demographics that are driving entrepreneurship right now, it’s actually the baby boomers.

You do want to target those that are driving a small entrepreneurship boom don’t you? I would think so!

“Contrary to what most of you might guess, the highest rate of entrepreneurial activity over the last few years is not Gen-Y young upstarts, but Baby Boomers in the 55-64 year age group. In fact, according to a study by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, these Boomers are actually driving a new entrepreneurship boom.
Some people are calling entrepreneurship the ‘new mid-life crisis’ for the 76 million-strong demographic once thought to be over the hill. Partially due to the economy, but also due to longer, healthier lives and changes in job tenure, 62% of working Boomers are now expected to stay in the labor force, with real power and influence, for at least nine more years, to 2020.”

One thing that’s important to never forget is that money and success loves speed. This means that you’ve got to do something with this information for it to be any use to you.

Most people will read it and just say, “oh that’s interesting” while others will take it, and start gearing their marketing message to these Baby Boomers who are ripe and ready to start their next life of adventure.

This year the first wave of Baby Boomers hits the 65 mark. In the past, age 65 was like the red line on a car’s tachometer that warned you when you neared the engine’s maximum recommended revolutions.

When the needle tapped the red line, it was time to back off the throttle and begin to slow down. And retire.

The Boomer cohort, some 79 million strong, doesn’t see it that way.
